Armine supports undergraduate program assessment at WSU, working with colleges and degree programs to assess student learning and produce results that can guide faculty decisions about effective curricula and instruction.

Biography
Armine joined the ACE team as an Assessment Specialist in December 2024. Previously, she was a faculty member in the Department of Apparel, Merchandising, Design and Textiles at WSU, where she served as the undergraduate program assessment coordinator. While completing her doctoral degree at Iowa State University, Armine worked as an assessment graduate assistant in the International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO) and the Memorial Union, where she carried out ongoing and new assessment activities and served on the Senior Vice President of Student Affairs Assessment Committee. Armine continued working at ISSO for three years as an International Student Advising Assistant, helping international students to navigate the complexities of immigration and academic policies and procedures. Armine has years of teaching experience and is passionate about mentoring student research and creative activities as well as curricular assessment for improvement of student learning. In 2024, she received a DAESA Smith Teaching and Learning Award for developing a sustainability-focused UCORE course at WSU.

Teaching and Mentoring Experience
- Taught extensively in apparel design, including human-centered design, sustainable design, apparel construction, patternmaking, product development, research methods, textile science, and computer-aided design integrating 2D, 3D, and AI technologies.
- Mentored graduate and undergraduate student research leading to publications, conference presentations, juried design exhibitions, research funding, and awards.
- Mentored undergraduate service-learning, internship, first-year, and special topics research and creative activities, presented at WSU SURCA and various exhibitions.
- Advised international students from diverse backgrounds regarding immigration regulations, academic matters, university policies and procedures, and other topics.
